Did your grandfather just recently pass away? I'm sorry to hear. I can appreciate your response to losing someone you love, by making a painting you're making your feelings visible. The painting is like an illustration of a dream. I hope you're doing alright. I'm sending you good energy right now.
hi Maureen - thank you so much. Yes, he was sick for a very long time. They gave him 6 months about 15 years ago... and he's been fighting it and fighting it. He was amazingly strong, right up to the end. It's funny though, living 3000 miles away... I said my good byes to him every time I saw him, once or twice a year, not expecting to see him again each time... so I thought I was ready... well more ready... than I was. But I'm ok, and it's good to know he's not struggling in pain anymore. That is the best thing. Thank you for sending your engery. xoxo
Pam - no matter how ready we think we are, losing a loved one is a hard place to journey through. I love your painting - it makes sense. warm thoughts for you and Luke and Frank
dear pam, i'm so sorry to hear of your loss. i don't think we can prepare ourselves totally - it's always a shock when we lose someone close, it always feels like a loss. i'm so glad that you're painting, and painting big - i love your painting, it's got so much heart in it. the process of creating art is so healing. sending you love and hugs.
