Peace!

It's that time of year... when most of us contemplate the things that really matter, the things that would really make a difference. One of the first things that always comes to my mind is PEACE. Peace in my own little life, peace in my family's, peace in my country, and in the world. It's a big desire, a huge goal... overwhelming sometimes. Best if it starts small, I guess. With ourselves... we do what we can to put it out there, right? Well, here's my offering for the season of wishing peace, and joy and happiness. Some PEACE beads. I hope to make more soon.

Some of them were inspired by this graffiti wall:

And others by the love of this metallic glass over ivory - I adore the way it makes the ivory crackle and "stain". All have the Peace symbol on one side, and then something else on the back side - except for the purple one, obviously.

Shhhhh! Don't Tell Mom!

I made this for my mom for Christmas. Since she never looks at my blog, I think it's safe to share. One of my beads, etched until it's all soft and pretty... hill tribe silver, etc.

Tribal Sunshine Beads on Etsy

I have a new series, Tribal Sunshine. I love these things, and they are so fun to make. I hope you like them too! Thanks for looking :-)

Lots of New Beads!

And some new baby orcas swimming around in our waters too! Here is an Orca bead to celebrate:

A couple of birds, introducing Poppy and Claire:

A dragon belly bead:

And finally, a rain forest bead:

And speaking of rain forests... we found one yesterday on our drive into the mountains. It was JUST what I needed.

More Blue Beads

and a too silly green face:

Going Batty!

I think bats are cute. We used to have some living in the eves of our old house... that wasn't so much cute as a pain in the neck as they attracted a nasty bug infection... ick... so, anway... back to the task at hand, cute bats. It's almost Halloween but there is still time to get these in the mail to you so you can wear it on the BIG day. My favorite holiday of the year :-)

All on etsy, sold individually, of course. Thanks for looking!

Wild Thing!

Have you seen the movie yet? We did. I loved it (though thought it could have been just a bit shorter). I agree with Luke that it wasn't a very happy movie at all. He rated it a 6. Or a 4. Or a 6. Frank fell asleep, so that tells you either he was bored out of his skull, or just tired. Maybe both. And it's not really all that good a movie for little kids. More for the adults that grew up with the story maybe. Beautifully done though. Dark, moody, great imagery.

Magic Blue Glass

I had so much fun yesterday playing with my favorite color. I made tree beads, and beach beads and galaxy beads and an eye bead... two are already sold, but the rest are all up on Etsy.

Some Necklaces

This one I made for my Mom, for her birthday. The focal is an old earring of my Grandmother's. Matching earrings.

This one is my Kesia Memory necklace... the heart is by Mr. Smiley, and it has 14 baubles for each year of her life.

And one of my trees that I decided to keep for myself. Lucky me :)
