Still Not Done

We only got two doors made today, in this miserable weather. I hate making doors. Actually, I hate hanging doors. Maybe I'll think otherwise by the time we are done, but right now, it's my least favorite thing. Two doors made, latches and handles installed, hooks and eyes on my vent flaps... a plan for the pop door, roost and droppings board... we will get there, and this will give Daphne time to grow some good head feathers.

  1. Absolutely gorgeous! Down to the door nobs! Very tallented. As for doors, I'm clueless about them myself, so I'm holding off. Best I've done is framing them in, well one of them. Thankfully I've got help of it'd never get done.

Hopefully the weather improves. My brother painted Saturday, but then the sky opened up that night and he has to paint it all over again. GRRR.

  2. It's a learning experience, that's for sure. I'm sorry your brother has to paint all over again. I've been painting the parts as we go along so they are dry when they go up, because you never know around here! Except I was painting the nest box as it started to sprinkle, I was hoping it wasn't going to turn to a downpour, I got lucky. I can't wait until this is done!

  3. That's the fanciest chicken coop I've ever seen, those chickies will be styling! It's been lots of fun watching this whole process from just an idea right through nearly to the end! Thanks for sharing!

  4. HOW precious! I absolutely love it! I have storage under mine just like you have -- I love it. Mine isn't nearly as chic though! Great coop!

  5. It is a very pretty and colorful chicken coop and I absolutely love the door knobs which have completely added beauty to the coop in total.
